Shining Sky – About

 

Shining Sky is first and foremost to be a series of graphic novels, that will take place on the fictitious post-apocalyptic planet Netra.

 

Fundamentally the story driven work is a science fiction drama, following the actions and adventures of Shalara Piers as she is caught up in the wars and social upheaval of her surroundings. These are between fictional races, with real world consequences and relatable events.

 

This is done with the greater aim of expressing the term 'humanity' with borderline physically inhuman characters, to suggest to the viewer that such an abstract concept extends far beyond homo sapiens.

 

With that in mind, all of what is shown here is conceptual design work, chiefly of vehicles and the protagonist Shalara herself.
